Welcome to Kind of Personal. These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and us that applies whenever you use kindofpersonal.com. By using the site, you agree to them.
What we do
You describe a T-shirt idea; our AI design engine creates original artwork from your words (and any images you attach); you can refine it and, if you love it, order it printed on a premium shirt and shipped to you by our print-on-demand partner. AI-generated results vary by nature — that's part of the magic — and some requests may be declined by content safety systems.
Your account & credits
You're responsible for your account and keeping its credentials safe. Design credits are prepaid usage for AI generations: one successful generation (a new design, an edit, or a fix) spends one credit's price. Failed or refused generations are not charged. Credits aren't transferable; refund terms are in our Refunds & Reprints policy.
What you upload
When you attach photos, logos, or artwork, you promise you have the right to use them — they're yours, you have permission, or (for photos of people, especially children) you're their parent or legal guardian or have their consent. You give us permission to process what you upload solely to create, store, and print your designs. You must not upload or request content that is illegal, infringes someone else's trademark or copyright, or is hateful or exploitative. We may refuse or remove such content and, for serious or repeated violations, close accounts.
Who owns the designs
Your finished designs are yours. To the extent we hold any rights in artwork generated for you, we transfer them to you when the design is created, for personal or commercial use — subject to the rights of others in material you supplied (your company's logo stays your company's logo). We won't use your designs in our marketing without asking you first.
Orders, printing & shipping
Prices are shown before you pay; payment is processed by Stripe. Shirts are printed and shipped by our production partner to the address you give at checkout. Delivery dates shown are estimates. Our promise for problems with a printed order is in the Refunds & Reprints policy.
The honest legal part
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us for the order or credits the claim is about. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that can't be waived. We may update these terms; meaningful changes will be reflected in the date above. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms are governed by the laws applicable where Kind of Personal operates in the United States.
